Host customizations – required for sure:
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.0/com.vmware.vsphere.install.doc/GUID-C96915A0-FEED-48AC-9163-D94AAD43A3FB.html

Shared storage – not related at all. AFAIK.

Auto Deploy – it seems host profiles are recommended but not mandatory, only image profile is.
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/com.vmware.vsphere.install.doc/GUID-34BE4438-2D04-44AB-89B5-ED7D4FA976E0.html

vRealize Suite – no way – doesn’t even require vSphere environment.

So – again – the question is sh*t but choosing the least-wrong answer is…

You can also use host profiles to specify that certain settings are host dependent. If you do so, the host comes up in maintenance mode when you provision it with Auto Deploy. Remediate the host or reset the host customization to be prompted for input. The system stores your input and uses it the next time the host boots.

– Host Profiles is a feature of vSphere designed to apply identical configuration to multiple VMware ESXi hosts
– Settings that are unique for individual hosts are provided through customizations
– vSphere Administrators enter or update customizations through graphical clients or via CSV file
