I would go with D, based on the second link posted above by “T”, and also from the following link: https://blogs.vmware.com/vsphere/2017/01/vcenter-server-appliance-file-based-backup-restore-walkthroughs.html.

Because the question mention CLIENT INTERFACE, perhaps it would have to be option B: “After you deploy and configure vSphere Data Protection, you can access vSphere Data Protection by using the vSphere Web Client interface to select, schedule, configure, and manage backups and recoveries of virtual machines.”
