host configure:vi /etc/sysconfig/syslog
SYSLOGD_OPTIONS=”-m 0 -r”
Where
-m 0 disables ‘MARK’ messages.
-r enables logging from remote machines
-x disables DNS lookups on messages recieved with -r
service syslog restart
