I think AC is right.
Per-target CHAP is “only” available when using Software iSCSI.
It’s according to the question you have to answer. The only available options for software and dependent hardware iSCSI adapters are A and C. One-way CHAP can be used for hardware iSCSI also.
For software and dependent hardware iSCSI adapters, you can set one-way CHAP and mutual CHAP for each initiator or at the target level. Independent hardware iSCSI supports CHAP only at the initiator level.
