An organization is designing a new vSphere cluster to support a new product implementation.
The following challenges have been identified by the vSphere administration team:
• The organization has the vSphere Enterprise License.
• The network team needs to gather virtual machine network statistics over a long period of time.
• The network team needs the ability to quickly assess virtual machine traffic in the event of an
attack.
• The network team has previously had problems implementing manual etherchannel
configurations on their physical switches, resulting in production outages.
• The new cluster’s initial size is 15 hosts.
The organization is willing to upgrade to vSphere Enterprise Plus licensing if it addresses these
challenges.
Which three features of a version 5.5 vSphere Distributed Switch would address these
challenges? (Choose three.)
A.
LACP in Dynamic Mode
B.
Port Mirroring
C.
Network vMotion
D.
Private VLANs
E.
Network I/O Control
Explanation:
gather virtual machine network statistics over a long period of time –> Network I/O Control (Answer E.)
Etherchannel –> LACP in Dynamic Mode (Answer A.)
ability to quickly assess virtual machine traffic in the event of an
attack –> Port mirroring (Answer B.)
In my humble opinion C. is NOT an answer for this Question.
some info :
Network vMotion
https://communities.vmware.com/thread/459527
I never heard of Network vMotion but I would say that is satisifies long term network statics since they move with the VM during vMotion on a vDS.
vDS also introduces a number of other features these are :-
• Private VLANs
• Network VMotion—tracking of VM networking state, improving troubleshooting and enabling
• 3rd Party Virtual Switch support with the Cisco Nexus 1000V Series Virtual Switch
• Bi-directional traffic shaping

A, B, C, are correct.

(Answer C.)
Network vMotion is a capability of vDS but not vSS
What’s New in VMware vSphere™ 4
New Features with vDS
Network VMotion
Network VMotion is the tracking of virtual machine networking state (e.g. counters, port statistics) as the VM moves from host to host on a vNetwork Distributed Switch. This provides a consistent view of a virtual network interface regardless of the VM location or VMotion migration history. This greatly simplifies network monitoring and troubleshooting activities where VMotion is used to migrate VMs between hosts.
The only thing VMware has regarding this is in the version 4 Networking link anon posted.
I cant find anything else by VMware on it. Seems weird??? have any of you seen network VMotion feature?
Port Mirroring is not supported with LACP , so B cannot go with A
has anyone noticed!! the vsphere license is Enterprise and not enterprise plus.. so all this doesnt make sense
Indeed, but “the organization is willing to upgrade to Enterprise Plus if it addresses these challenges”.
Bart please follow the link http://vmblogged.blogspot.com/2012/04/network-vmotion.html which says network vmotion is used for gathering statistics of vm and its network activities. So, I think A, B & C are correct answer.
A C and D are the correct answers
IMHO, I’d go with CDE because Enterprise is compatible with the other requirements. The question specifically asks for the features of VDS switch which only comes in Plus that they are willing to purchase.

correction: ACD
After further reading and rereading I think ABC is correct. additional research materials i found helpful:
