You’ve been asked to make sure that you guarantee a certain level of capacity, performance, availability, redundancy for your virtual machines storage. What feature of vSphere 5 would you use to ensure you can meet that request?
A.
Profiel-Driven Storage
B.
VAAI
C.
sDRS/vMotion
D.
Capacity Planner
Typo in answer A, should be Profile-Driven Storage
Are you sure about this answer? I would have said c: SDSR/vMotion. Profile Driven Storage only answers the performance requirement but not capacity, availability or redundancy. Only an SDRS ctorage cluster does this.
N.
agree with you neil i believe its C for the same reasons you have outlined.
A is correct per VMware doc….
ESXi and vCenter Server 5.0 Documentation > vSphere Storage
Virtual Machine Storage Profiles
With profile-driven storage, you use storage capabilities and virtual machine storage profiles to ensure that virtual machines use storage that guarantees a certain level of capacity, performance, availability, redundancy, and so on.
Why would it not be Capacity Planner? Isn’t this exactly what the tool is designed for?
