Moving it to another datastore accessed by the same host does not relieve HBA contention across the storage HBAs. You’re just changing lanes on the same congested freeway. Moving it to another host is analogous getting on another highway altogether.

Ryan is correct but it’s not indicating an issue with the HBA’s, it’s indicating that they are saturated. That statement tells the questionee that no action on the host is going to resolve the issue because prioritization or multipathing cannot resolve the issue of over saturation of the connection, regardless of if it’s storage or network or whatever. Full is full and no amount of dancing around is going to change that.. the only option is to offload the traffic to a lesser used host.
