What are two network load-balancing policies for a vNetwork Distributed Switch? (Choose two)

What are two network load-balancing policies for a vNetwork Distributed Switch? (Choose two)

A.
Route based on source destination MAC hash

B.
Route using Round Robin

C.
Route based on the originating virtual port ID

D.
Route based on IP hash

Explanation:
**** Debated A for D *****
11-9-2011 Debated again (giobuon) – so now there is a screen shot SHOWING what is right…

Argument: Vendor documentation and the fact these were the right answers on a 410 only proves the point further. Word “NETWORK” load-balancing policies… However there is an option on vSphere 5 distributed switches that is called “Route based on Physical NIC Load”. For now these two are the correct answers unless someone can provide proof that they aren’t.

(According to Cisco these are the only two teaming policies offered for network load balancing for DVS)

Route based on source destination MAC hash
*There is no such option. Route based on source MAC hash is (notice the destination keyword).

Route using Round Robin
*Used for Storage Load-Balancing

Route based on the originating virtual port ID
*This is valid.

Route based on IP hash
*This is valid.

The screen shot provided in the previous post is accurate. I confirmed the list of Load Balancing policies are indeed available in the vDS port group teaming and fail-over drop-down box.

I fully agree with Matt.
The explanation itself shows that the correct answers are:
– Route based on the originating virtual port ID
– Route based on IP hash

Also verified with the dropdown list on my test environment.

According to page 47 of Network Guide the correct answers are C and D.
Alternative A is not correct because it says “source destination MAC hash” and the correct would be only “source MAC hash”
