A is correct.
When you power on a VM, a memory swap file is created that can be used in lieu of physical host memory if an ESX host exhausts all of its physical memory because it is overcommitted. These files are deleted when a VM is powered off or suspended.
The question isn’t asking about vmware memory swap files, but rather the swap space used by the OS itself.

Only Answer A is correct.

Reason: During windows installation, when certain HDD capacity is allocated to install OS, some space is also reserved for default page size. This can be later altered depending on the performance of the machine “when the machine is actually powered on”. Similarly for Linux (any flavor installation), one needs to specify swap space during installation. Igonore all other options.

C is close but does not specify anything.

Answer is “A” only.

Question talks about the paging file inside the guest Os which is set when the guest OS is installed.

D is definitely NOT the correct answer as I used this in my mock exam and it was wrong!

A must be the answer

A is definitely correct. The question asks when the page file for the Guest OS is created, not the VM.

In this case the Guest OS is Windows. Another way of asking the question is “When does the Windows OS create it’s swap file?”.

The question actually has nothing to do with VMWare.
