A.
Static binding
B.
Flexible
C.
Ephemeral
D.
Dynamic binding
Explanation:
vSphere4 Documentation Notes vReference.com Version 1.0 Page 1 [email protected] Main Documentation Set, page 15.dvPort group properties include:
* Port Binding – when ports are assigned to virtual machines connected to this dvPort group.
* Static binding – to assign a port to a virtual machine when the virtual machine is connected to the dvPort group.
* Dynamic binding – to assign a port to a virtual machine the first time the virtual machine powers on after it is connected to the dvPort group. Ephemeral – for no port binding.
The Correct answere is A
If you create a new dvport on a DvS the Port bnding is set to “Static Binding”
also it says o in you explanation…
The answer is actually D: Dynamic. Port assigned when vm connected and disconnected when vm power off or NIC disconnected.
Go into a Lab and check it yourself…Static is the default.
Actually dynamic binding is deprecated in esxi 5.
Static binding — assigns a port to a virtual machine when the virtual machine connects to the distributed port group. This option is not available when the vSphere Client is connected directly to ESXi.
Dynamic binding — assigns a port to a virtual machine the first time the virtual machine powers on after it is connected to the distributed port group. Dynamic binding is depricated in ESXi 5.0.
Ephemeral — for no port binding. This option is not available when the vSphere Client is connected directly to ESXi.
