Incorrect, I just logged into vMA and added a server by IP as the target and ran esxcfg-vswitch -l and it reports all the relevant information. Dell Equallogic’s setup documentation says the exact same thing when you are configuring kernel ports for Jumbo Frame support.

But esxcfg commands are deprecated and will not be supported in future versions. esxcli are the currently supported commands and more than likely what they would be looking for as the correct answer

esxcfg- commands (deprecated)
Set of commands for managing many aspects of vSphere. Most esxcfg- commands available in the ESX 4.x service console are available in the ESXi Shell but are deprecated in ESXi 5.0 and will be removed in a future release.
Use ESXCLI commands instead of esxcfg- commands. If no ESXCLI command exists, use the vicfg- commands in the vCLI command set. (pg 5)
You can retrieve that information by using ESXCLI commands.
esxcli network ip interface list (Pg 12)

the answer is correct:

5.To display a list of VMkernel interfaces, and to check that the configuration of the Jumbo Frame‐enabled interface is correct:

◦Run this command for ESX 3.5 and ESX/ESXi 4.x:

# esxcfg-vmknic -l

◦Run this command for ESXi 5.x:

# esxcli network ip interface list
