Refer to the Exhibit.
An administrator has received reports of poor network performance with a virtual machine.
Which task will improve the network performance of this virtual machine?
A.
Adjust shares for the virtual NIC on the virtual machine.
B.
Traffic-shape this virtual machine.
C.
Move the virtual machine to another virtual switch.
D.
Add a CPU to the virtual machine.
Stupid. Moving to another vswitch does not guarantee the performance WILL be improved. It MIGHT be approved depending on the load on the uplinks of the new swtich. grrrrrrrrrrr
We can say, the most correct answer is C 🙂
Why not B?
Kind of an underhanded question. C is the only answer that is possible – but it’s a poor choice. The correct answer should be to use network I/O control on the vDS that the VM is attached to.
A. is not possible – Shares are adjusted by traffic type on the vDS
B. Wouldn’t help. Traffic shaping limits network performance only.
D. Unrelated to the question.
