number of vCPUs and Storage DRS are not in the “create new virtual machine (Typical) form” – for me ABE are correct, please help

ADE Should be correct. when selecting destination storage there is also a “Disable Storage DRS for this VM” selection.

For a Typical configuration, verify that you have the following information:
– Virtual machine name and inventory location.
– Location in which to place the virtual machine (cluster, host, resource pool). ** D Storage DRS **
– Datastore on which to store the virtual machine’s files. ** A Datastore Location **
– Guest operating system and version.
– Parameters for the virtual disk size and provisioning settings. ** E Virtual Disk Size **

So this is a trick question because it depends on whether or not you actually have datastore clusters with SDRS enabled at the time you are creating the VM via the wizard.

*If* you have created a datastore cluster *and* enabled SDRS, no action by the admin is required during the wizard to enable SDRS. Rather, as Erik mentioned above, the only “option” you have is to *disable* SDRS on the specific VM you are creating.

Virtual machine version and Number of vCPUs are only available under CUSTOM configuration, not TYPICAL configuration.
