Spent way too much time searching technet and other resources and everywhere I looked it said that File and Printer sharing Echo request – ICMPv4-In should be enabled.
The ping command is operates by sending a ICMP echo request. If your firewall blocks those request, they won’t return a ech request, so you need to enable that feature on the firewall.
