Exchange servers can be added to SIP URI (Lync) dial plans and can’t be added to Telephone extension and E.164 dial plans.

Dial Plan 1 – IP Gateway
Dial Plan 2 – SIP URI

Exchange 2010 only UM role contains UM specific components
Exchange 2013, both CAS and Mailbox roles contains UM specific components.

So, for me the answer looks like-
Ex3 to Dial plan 1 – Not Required – Number plan, CAS and MBX Automatically answers
Ex4 to Dial plan 1 – Not Required – Number plan, CAS and MBX Automatically answers
EX1 to Dial PLan 2 – Not Required – No UM role
Ex2 to dial plan 2 – Required – SIP URI and 2010 UM role
Ex3 to dial plan 2 – Required – SIP URL requires adding both CAS/MBX to dial plan.
