You have a computer named Computer1 that is configured to install updates from Windows Server Update
Services (WSUS).
Microsoft releases a new Windows update that is not approved in WSUS.
You need to install the update on Computer1.
What should you do?
A.
From a command prompt, run gpupdate /force /sync.
B.
Click Check online for updates from Microsoft Updates, and then check for updates.
C.
Clear the defer upgrades check box, and then check for updates.
D.
From Windows PowerShell, run the Get-WindowsUpdateLog cmdlet, and then run the Update- Module
cmdlet.
C
correction right answer is B
agree on B
I think they question is badly worded if they want the update it’s B if they do not want the update it’s C.
“C. CLEAR the defer the defer upgrades check box, and then check for updates.”
If you’re CLEARING the check box then you are no longer defering the updgrades, so why would it not be C?
When a computer is configured to use WSUS, it will no longer check on Microsoft for updates. As long as the update wasn’t approved in WSUS, it just wouldn’t show up, whether you’re deferring upgrades or not.
There would however be a link that allows you to manually bypass WSUS called check online for Microsoft Updates.
Although I can imagine (it being Windows 10) that it would then without asking permission install ALL updates that haven’t been approved yet.
That being said, the answer is indeed B.
