Although this option creates snapshots, they will not appear in Previous Versions, only in System Restore. They will also not allow a single file to be restored. Although you could technically make a snapshot, alter the file, then restore the snapshot. But knowing Windows, during the time it took you to alter that file, Windows altered 300. So the answer is ‘no’.

The correct answer id “Yes”.
1. Go to properties of any folder to the “Previous versions” tab – in this tab, you will see where previous versions are created. Also – make note of the previous versions list of selected folder
2. Go to Control Panel- system – “System protection” – turn on system protection for the drive where folder of Step 1 is located. Then manually create restore point.
3. Go to properties – “Previous versions” for folder of Step 1. What will you see ? – You will see list of previous versions for one new row – it’s newly created RP.
