I just tried the above, you can create an ediscovery SharePoint site but it no longer works. There is the below message:

Creating new cases in the eDiscovery Center in SharePoint is no longer supported. You can create and use eDiscovery cases on the eDiscovery page in the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center to manage your investigations.

I assume the exam is updated for how to search in the Security & Compliance area.
