I believe SPO documents answer is never removed…
Isn’t “raise..” and “upgrade…” on planning phase?
Sure, if it was required.
The question states all servers run windows 2008, but doesn’t specify what the functional level is so we can’t assume it needs to be raised.
They already have an Exchange 2010 server on premises so it’s not necessary to upgrade it to 2013.
Planning Phase is prepare on-premises AD for Sync
Migration is assign licenses to users.
Shouldn’t everything except assigning licenses be done during the planning phase?
8576309…Jenny don’t you lose my number, but you are definitely wrong.
First off you can only mark one answer in each row. Second two of the four are not necessary.
Planning Phase is prepare on-premises AD for Sync
Migration is assign licenses to users.
That’s what I mean. I believe it can be the right answer
Should be only 1 answer per column (the answer above is wrong). Note that the question doesn’t state what the Forest functional level is, and thus we can’t assume it needs to be raised to Server 2008.
Agree though that ‘assigning licenses’ is the only activity in the list that would be considered a Migration task, and not a Planning task.
bad question, Using the wording (one in each column) Then Users is under migration, and preper active directory for planning phase
Nothing else should be checked since we can’t assume to know the domain level, nor do we even need to upgrade the on prem exchange server to 2013.
Says: “Make only one selection in each column” so, the correct answer i think should be:
-User1 Exchange Online mailbox: Removed after 30-day gace period
-Documents Created by User1 on SharePoint Online: Never removed
It is a correct answer, I agree with Felipeipe.
Agreed. You can only make one selection in each column…
I think only the first two options should be checked. Forest functional leven – 2003 would be ok, 2008 isn’t necessary. And the question doesn’t say anything about the current level.
Migration to MX2013 isn’t necessary, too. We run a hybrid exchange and it’s still 2010. Irritating question.
I think the answer is:
Never removed Sharepoint online
Removed immediately — Exchange
Removed after 30 days Exchange
Removed after 90 days is tricky so my guess is Sharepoint.
When you remove a license from a user, all of the data associated with that user for that service will be deleted and—after a grace period of 30 days—can’t be recovered, except for documents saved on SharePoint Online. For example, if you remove a license for Exchange Online from a user:
The user’s mailbox and all messages in it are deleted. The mailbox can be recovered within 30 days by reassigning a license to it. After 30 days, the mailbox and its contents are permanently deleted.
All email aliases associated with the user account are deleted. If you need someone in your company to receive email at those aliases, assign them to another user.
The user’s Lync Online Contacts list may be deleted. If you restore the Exchange Online license within 30 days, the Contacts list will be restored as well. For more information, see Removing a user’s license for Exchange Online may also remove their Lync Online Contacts list.
I have a question in
Only “User1 Exchange Online mailbox” – remove after 30-day grace period
Documents Created by User1 on Sharepoint Online – Never Removed
Removed immediately – do I need to choose between “User1 Exchange Online mailbox” or Documents Created by User1 on Sharepoint Online or not necessary???
Removed after 90-day grace period – do I need to choose between “User1 Exchange Online mailbox” or Documents Created by User1 on Sharepoint Online or not necessary???
what is the correct answer with this question?
what is the correct answer with this question
Exchange – removed after 30-day grace period
SharePoint – never removed
The question clearly states: make only one selection in each column. There you have it.
The correct answer is :
Planing phase : Prepare the on-premises AD for DirSync
Migration phase: Assign licences to users
Agree with Jicu…https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/azure/jj151831.aspx
Some people are misreading this – it says “one selection in each column” not one selection in each row.
Bas is correct
Bas is correct
I agree with Jicu
yes Bas is correct logically….
You can only have one answer per column so the answer is wrong.
Per page 17 of Office 365 FastTrack Planning Engagements Consultant Guide. (http://planningservices.partners.extranet.microsoft.com/en/O365/SAPSDocuments/Office%20365%20FastTrack%20Planning%20Engagements%20Consultant%20Guide.docx)
Migration Phase has:
1 – Assign Licenses to users
Prepare Phase has:
2 – Prepare your on-premises Active Directory for directory synchronization.
Exchange 2010 is compatible with Office 365 hybrid. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh563847(v=exchg.141).aspx so 4 isn’t required, or one of these answers.
Forest Functional Level may need to be raised (if it’s below 2003 FFL), but raising the FFL isn’t listed verbatim in the guide. I couldn’t find any more information on the three phases of the fast track either. Plan phase does list “Identify Active Directory preparation and remediation requirements”, and this “could” cover upgrading the FFL. So I’m leaning more toward this being the correct answer.
So for Migration phase 1 is correct for sure.
As for the Planning phase it’s 3 in my opinion but it could possible be 2.
2 is actually listed in the guide almost verbatim and 3 isn’t, and maybe it was just a typo putting 2 in the Planning Phase rather than the Prepare Phase.
I couldn’t find a clear cut answer for this one though sorry.
Hammer Time!

I have done the migration to Office 365 from on-premises and I still have exchange 2010 with no mailbox as per Microsoft license but I have all server 2012 R2
