is this answer is correct?
I would say no.
1- Enable multi-factor authentication for User1
2- Instruct User1 to use a mobile phone to complete the Registration process
3- Instruct User1 to use a one-time Password to complete the Registration process.
check: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn383636.aspx#enablemfaoffice365
for the msdn say that the original answer is correct
THE ANSWER IS CORRECT
It’s best to remain nameless and offer no explanation with an absurd answer like that!
Where is Greywold when you need him
isn’t it
1. Enable multi-factor authentication for user1
2. instruct user1 to use a mobile phone to complete the registration process
3. instruct user1 to create an app password
I agree with jerdy check this link

Agree with Jerdy and Jicu.
Jerdy is right

jerdy is right
Tricky question. One time password is the same as App Password. Also, step1: Enable MFA implies the use of mobile phone to complete the enabling process, however. Since Outlook client needs app password, you need two steps. create app password, then use the app password.
so, the original answer is right, considering steps 1 implies mobile activation.
Jerdy is incorrect!
I agree with Moe!
The original answer is right.
You cannot “complete the process 2ce”.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn383636.aspx#enablemfaoffice365.
1. Enable MFA
2. You have an option to either complete on the phone text/called or be called in the office or generate an app.
3. You now have the app password created or generated to complete the process.
So using a mobile phone is a 1-2 step process.
The question is asking for 3. So you create an app and then use it to complete the process.
and they don’t have to use a mobile phone, so we eliminate that option and and it is not a one time app password so those are two options removed. Sequence is now the factor. so again
1. Enable MFA
2. Create an app password and use it to
3 Complete the registration process
You need a app password to authenticate the Outlook client after the user has registered. It is not used as part of the registration process. Jerdy is correct.
See this video @ https://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2014/OFC-B250#fbid=
About 19 minutes in shows you can setup a app to authenticate.
The questions states that “They must use only the Microsoft Outlook client to access their email messages”
I must agree with jerdy as well.
Agree with Jerdy. But the thing is YOU don’t create an app-password, it comes up automatically
Have been studying for this exam like others have had conflicting Q&A resources. I’m HR by no means hands on technical. Thanks everyone for your input. This question made me double check too. I’m wondering if Jerdy/Justin Thompson or anyone could provide me an email address to defer to for some of these. Would really like to pass this one. Thanks so much!
I feel original answer is correct
1. Enable MFA
2. Create an app password and use it to
3 Complete the registration process using app pwd
