A company deploys an Office 365 tenant in a hybrid configuration with Exchange Server 2013.
Office 365 users cannot see free/busy information that is published from the on-premises Exchange
Server. In addition, Exchange Server users cannot see free/busy information that is published from
Office 365.
You need to troubleshoot why users cannot access free/busy information from both Office 365 and
Exchange Server 2013.
Which tool should you run?
A.
The Hybrid Configuration wizard
B.
The Remote Connectivity Analyzer with the Exchange Server tab selected
C.
The Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer Tool
D.
The Remote Connectivity Analyzer with the Office 365 tab selected
I would choose C – Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer Tool
“You can use MCA to perform the following tests ….
I can’t view the Free/Busy Information of Another User … to see if an office 365 mailbox can access free/busy info of an on-premises mailbox and vice versa”
70-346 Exam Ref book – Orin Thomas
And if given as an option I would choose ‘Hybrid Environment Free/Busy Troubleshooter’ Tool
Then again D probably is correct, the book says exactly the same for Remote Connectivity Analyzer as MCA. MCA runs on the client, this looks like affecting everyone, so I’ll start with Remote Connectivity Analyzer.
D is correct, https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/exchange/2012/11/19/whats-new-with-microsoft-remote-connectivity-analyzer-a-lot/
“Thanks to the Office 365 Deployment Services team, the RCA website now hosts the Office 365 Free/Busy test. This test verifies an Office 365 mailbox can access the free/busy information of an on-premises mailbox and vice versa. “
