You need to use the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer and the credentials of the users

DRAG DROP
A graphic design agency has an Office 365 tenant. The agency uses only computers that run the
Apple Macintosh operating system. Some users have Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, and some
have Microsoft Outlook for Mac.
All users report that they cannot access Exchange Online to check their email.
You need to run test connectivity for all users to identify the problem. You need to use the Microsoft
Remote Connectivity Analyzer and the credentials of the users.
What should you do? To answer, drag the appropriate test to run to the correct email client. Each
test may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between
panes or scroll to view content.

Is the answer correct?

According to the site https://macmule.com/2015/11/10/microsoft-remote-connectivity-analyzer/, both Outlook 2011 & Outlook 2016 for Mac connect to Exchange via Exchange Web Services (often abbreviated to EWS). The Outlook Connectivity only tests MAPI & RPC over HTTP connectivity, which are used by the Windows Outlook clients, so ignore.

I reckon Exchange web services connectivity test for both Entourage and outlook for Mac

All Macs I’ve setup have always used EWS to connect to Exchange. I have never seen MAPI for Mac.

Microsoft’s Exchange Server Remote Connectivity Analyzer is a free web-based tool that assists Exchange administrators with the testing and configuration of their external Exchange-based services. For example, it can assist in troubleshooting Autodiscover settings used by Entourage, Web Services Edition, or Outlook for Mac, which use the Exchange Web Services protocol.

Both EWS.

Entourage 2008 for Mac supports WebDAV, POP and IMAP
Entourage 2008 Web Service Edition adds support for EWS.

But in question its “Entourage 2008 for Mac” so you dont have EWS support.

Entourage without EWS wont connect to any version of exchange later than E12 I believe.

Microsoft Outlook for Mac: Microsoft EWS

Out of Office Assistant: When connecting to an Exchange 2007 CAS, it works thru ‘Exchange Web Services‘
