is this not a legacy app and therefore should be on port 143 meaning the answer should be D??

Agreed cees – legacy implies that you’d use the unsecure IMAP port (assuming it can’t support encryption). However according to the link Exchange online appears not to accept any connections that aren’t encrypted. Awful bad wording on this question. I’d have to go with C just because it’s the newer tech and that’s what Microsoft wants you to use.
