You are employed as an administrator at ABC.com. ABC.com network has an Active Directory
domain, named ABC.com. All servers on the ABC.com network have Windows Server 2012
installed.
ABC.com intends to administer e-mail by deploying an Office 365 environment. You are instructed
to making sure that all user accounts are configured to make use of a custom domain only.
You are currently in the process of provisioning an Office 365 tenant.
Which of the following is the final step in the process?
A.
Removing the onmicrosoft.com domain name.
B.
Selecting the plan.
C.
Configuring the custom DNS.
D.
Configuring the custom domain.
Isn’t this answer C ? You cant remove the onmicrosoft.com –
Correct answer is D: Configuring custom DNS is part of the main task configuring the custom domain
D is the correct one …
Sorry I think it should be C
Step 3. Add Your UPN Domain to Office 365
Microsoft Online Services Portal. Click Domains in the Admin console and then select Add a domain. The wizard will prompt you for the domain name, and then give you one of two options for authenticating ownership. You’ll need to add either a TXT or MX record to the publicly accessible DNS server hosting the domain.
After custom domain verification, you need to set custom domain as default one, right? It is asking the final step.
Actually I am not sure if D is the correct answer, because the question emphasize “use of a custom domain ONLY”. So, if it was me, after setting custom domain as default, I would remove that onmicrosoft.com Alias email address for all users. Not sure if this is that A means.
You just can’t remove the onmicrosoft.com domain.
The *correct* last step would be to set your custom domain as the default domain, after it has been added, validated and configured; but the first onmicrosoft.com domain can’t be removed. Ever.
Correct Answer is C
Got to O365 >> EAC >> Settings >> Domains >> New Domain >> On Top of the window 4th and last option is Update DNS Setting
Hope it make sense !!
