Tokenization, when applied to data security, is the process of substituting a sensitive data element with a non-sensitive equivalent, referred to as a token, that has no extrinsic or exploitable meaning or value. The token is a reference (i.e. identifier) that maps back to the sensitive data through a tokenization system.

Materials-
CCCure Study and questions, Sybex material 7th edition and questions and some old shon’s mp3 and review questions too.
Please, don’t get me wrong, these materials will teach you/good, but nothing similar or close in relating them to the live questions on my test.

Thanks.

eek!! thats what im using right now 😐
have you had a chance to look through the questions and answers on this site on the CISSP v.3 section… how do they compare to your exam…
and what was different on the exam compared to say the cccure or sybex questions etc?
any info is much appreciated!

Could anyone please explain how the CISSP labeling for this site really works?
I have been working on the CISSP V3, but checking through one of the comments, I found out that the CISSP Q&A was updated recently.. Isnt that suppose to be CISSPv4 or is it the combination of all the other V1,V2,V3 because, It has more Q&As?
Thank you.

Need update with more drag & drop and hotspot questions to pass. I failed (On May 16, 2016 and there were 15 to 20 questions from this section (drag & drop). All were high points (marks)questions. v3 is not enough to get 25-30% marks or points.

mr_anderson

mr_anderson

RK, what were the drag and drop questions like?
also, how about the rest of the questions, were most from here, V3??
I don’t understand what you mean by:
“v3 is not enough to get 25-30% marks or points”
Please let me know…
thanks

Today I am failed the exam (15-6-2016).
The version 3 only get 20% questions same as real exam questions.
The version 2 get about 5- 10% question same as real exam questions.
No more new section questions (darg & drop). All this kind questions are in ver 3.
Due to I not get the enough time to finish the exam.
So, I hard to remember the new question.
You must study the CISSP book or wait the update questions in the web site.
because the version 3 questions are not enough to pass the exam.

seanwayne

All, Today I passed (16-6-2016)
I agree that there are only 20% of the questions here are the same. However, these are the closest questions that I have seen out there to the exam. Take a look at Cybrary CBTs, (Kelly Handerhan) and Larry Greenblatt (Youtube) videos are really good and Free. Make sure that you understand those key concepts of policys, BCP, and SDLC. Those got a bit confusing on my test.

Also, the drag & drop was about 10% but the Scenario questions were a huge portion. I had probably 25 questions at least. Anyways, good luck to all. If you have any follow on questions for me, I will do my best to answer.

Cheers.

mr_anderson

mr_anderson

Hi seanwayne,
thanks for the info.
Were there lots of technical questions?
also were there many in access control and models… like bell-lapudula etc?
what materials did u use to study.
were the questions confusing, as in trying to catch you out with wording or is it kind of obvious to eliminate 2 answers and then chose the correct one?
can you give any examples of drag and drop and scenario type questions.

thanks!! sorry for all the questions… im really nervous to take this exam 🙁

seanwayne

seanwayne

No problem, Ill try to help.

– Not so much technical, only a small amount.
– Only a few questions on the sec models. A lot of SDLC, BCP, DRP, IT Governance.
– Honestly like I posted earlier, there were a lot of scenario questions. 1 scenario with multiple questions behind it.
– There were some really ambiguous ones actually. Confusing as hell. It usually boils down to 2 answers.
– I used the ISC(2) 7th edition book and plenty of CBTs.

For you and everyone, one of the most overlooked facts is to prepare for the endurance needed for this exam. I took the entire time, (5:55) to finish lol. You have to be aware because after about question 110-130, fatigue starts to settle in. And you start second-guessing yourself. So be aware and prepare. Hope that helps.

mr_anderson

thanks mate…
and congrats on your pass btw 🙂

i’m using the same book… will check out the cbts you mentioned.

regarding those recommendation, can your provide more detail or URL ?

Thanks All,

Larry Greenblatt’s 8 Domains of CISSP – Day 1 (Update 2015 – CBK Domain Refresh is very helpful. They are a bit long, but he is pretty spot on in most of his comments:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ept-Mn-a3xE

Watch his entire boot camp series. It really helps especially those who are shaky on encryption. (Not much on that on my exam though).

Also Cybrary is awesome, material on many certs. Everyone here should check it out. Plenty of videos, lectures, etc:

https://www.cybrary.it.

– On the ISC2 Book, look closely at the exam essentials. I went through that very detailed the night before the exam.

– Utilize the CBT’s. For me I get bored and complacent doing questions over and over and reading the same material. Mix it up with an hour of videos, especially on those sections that you struggle with. It really helps for those of us doing self study and with no instructor training.

Has anyone taken this exam recently? How did you do?

sh1t_son!!

sh1t_son!!

I have taken, passed and had my endorsement completed recently. Exam sat in July. If you want to pass, DO NOT try to learn these questions in order to pass… if you do, you WILL fail! Instead, study I the material, know all the concepts and how and when to apply them. Use these questions and the many others that are available to gauge your knowledge before taking the exam…

I used Sybex CISSP book, Cybrary and also CCCure

For more information on the exam and tips etc, check out the excellent Cissp sub-reddit:

I don’t think its a bad idea to take these questions. It all depends on individuals . These questions are from different domains. So if you take a questions and you don’t understand it, READ that topic. By the time you go through all, you will have read books. But if you intend to read, cram and pass, not a good idea!

Questions on all five tests will get you NOWHERE. None of these questions came on test. I failed with 669 today. Nothing from any book I read or any test I practiced. Absolute zilch! If you ask me what helps, I would say LUCK. It is a test of English mixed with technological mumbo jumbo. Close your eyes and pick an answer and pray that luck guides you. My luck was not with me today. I am not sure if I will EVER PASS this test.
