Disagree. This should be False Rejection Rate (FRR). If it is essential that a hacker does not get in then we do not want to falsely let her in (FAR). Right?

If a hacker were to get past the security mechanism, then that’s a false acceptance. This is what you want to lower. Therefore the answer is A. You don’t care what the false rejection rate is – whether it’s 0% or 100% has nothing to do with unauthorized individuals trying to get past.

This question is written in a very confusing way …. not sure why overcomplicating the target of the question …. some questions feel like they were written by lawyers or contract people instead of engineers

I am changing my answer. A – Because it is FAR that I am concerned with.

Think of FAR as a false positive. Answer is A

“it is essential that no one other than authorized individuals are admitted” – therefor the probability that the system incorrectly authorizes a non-authorized person (FAR) is most important.
