Sure about the Custom installation option? I think about choosing the Upgrade installation option because of the not affecting part.

Hi

Patrick, if you chose the Upgrade option, it will upgrade the win7 to win8 and put the old windows in the windows.old folder.
It will not be bootable and you will have a unformated partition because of the shrink.
