You install Windows 8 on a client computer.
Several days later, you establish that the computer has been infected by malware. You are
unable to establish when the computer was infected.
You need to restore the client computer to full functionality.
What should you do?
A.
Start the computer using the Last Known Good Configuration option.
B.
Use the Refresh your PC without affecting your files function.
C.
Start the computer in Safe Mode.
D.
Use the Remove everything and install Windows function.
is this the same as troubleshoot > Reset your PC option?
In Update and Recovery there are 3 options only: “Refresh your PC without affecting your files”, “Remove everything and install Windows” and “Advanced startup”.
Refresh your PC without affecting your files remove all desktop programs, so why this is not the right answer?
Why is B not the correct answer???
I think B is the correct answer…….
Classic Microsoft type of question. If there was anything in the question where it stated that we need to keep user files, then (B) would be the correct answer. In this instance, (D) is the better answer.
While answer D may be the safest way to remove malware, it does not meet question requirement “You need to restore the client computer to full functionality”.
B. is more likely to meet the requirement and with a good chance of cleaning PC from malware.
B is wrong when you refresh a pc Windows settings and files are not deleted, so à virus Cold hide in those files.
You could reset the computer but this is not an option in these answers.
Sonthe provider answers is correct.
