You work as an Office Assistant for www.company.com Inc. You are editing a Microsoft Word 2010
document. The document has a detailed description at the end and you want to provide a summary
at the start. You want to write the summary of the document in one view while reading the detailed
description in another view so that you can refresh your memory by reading it. Mark the
option/button in the following image that you will use for creating the summary at the start.
Explanation:
The split window feature is used for editing a Microsoft Word 2010 document. It helps
a user to see a document in two different views. It allows a user to refer to one view while changing
the document in another view. When a document is split, each view works independent of the
other. A user can scroll in one view, while the other view remains in the same place. A user can split
a document in two ways:
1.By using the ribbon: Scroll to the page where a user wants to split the document and then click
View > Window > Split. To remove the split, click on the Remove Split button in the same group on the ribbon.
2.By using the divider: This is the quickest way to split a document. There should be a “divider” at
the top of the vertical scrollbar. When a user hovers over the divider, the cursor will be changed into a split icon. Move the cursor to
the point where the user wants to split the document and release the mouse.
