I believe this one is a LAN, not a CAN. CAN networks are usually over a larger area

I guess it depends on where the games are connected to which it does not state. Even then, I think this is still a LAN

Being CAN is a campus area network … I do not see CAN being the correct answer to this question.

The issue with this one is that it does not provide enough data to indicate that there are multiple offices in different locations. From the wording of this question it would leave the reader to believe that this space is isolated to a single office not offices. With this being the case I agree with most others here that this should be a LAN and not a CAN.

CAn is the right amswer.
A Controller Area Network (CAN bus) is a robust vehicle bus standard designed to allow microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other in applications without a host computer. It is a message-based protocol, designed originally for multiplex electrical wiring within automobiles to save on copper, but is also used in many other contexts.

So the answer is definitely LAN.

CAN bus isn’t one of the options and if you read the rest of the Wikipedia page you’d see it’s usually used in automobiles.

According to techopedia.com a campus area network (CAN) is a network of multiple interconnected local area networks (LAN) in a limited geographical area. A CAN is smaller than a wide area network (WAN) or metropolitan area network (MAN). A CAN is also known as a corporate area network (CAN).

Looking over the Objectives the only CAN I can see is Campus area network. Also looking through a couple of books 1 by Mike Myers and the other by Todd Lammle, I see nothing on controller area network.

That is because CompTIA is a scam. My friend had a question to pick between cat 8 and 3 and he choose 3 since he never learned in CompTIAs own book that they had a cat8 cable available. He looked through the index and couldn’t find anything related to cat 8. Why ask a question in a test when their own book doesn’t have the answer for it!
