Automatically Mapping Extensible Flexfields
Before Release 8, you must manually map incoming extensible flexfield data to Order Management entities. Starting with Release 8, you can use the Copy-of feature in XLST (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) instead of performing this work manually. This feature dynamically maps the input extensible flexfields to the Order Management entities and maps the extensible flexfield entity in Order Management to the SDO or modified node. You can use this feature in the following architectural layers in Order Management:
• Sales Order Integration
• Template Task Layer
• Fulfillment Task Layer
You must continue to perform manual mapping for other task layers. The example in this document uses the following XML payload for the extensible flexfield when it creates the extensible flexfield.
