If I allocated 2GB of memory to a virtual machine and it automatically went up to 8GB it would defeat the purpose of allocating memory and I think I would run out of RAM very quickly.

A & C is correct, D is wrong. if i allocated memory to a VM and an application on this VM uses some of that memory to store its runtime data, what would happen to the application if the amount of memory is dynamically reduced while running? the application, and possibly the OS will crash.
