Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains four
servers named Server1, Server2, Server3 and Server4 that run Windows Server 2016. Server1
has IP Address Management (IPAM) installed Server2, Server3, and Server4 have the DHCP
Server rote instated IPAM manages Server2, Server3 and Server4. A domain user named User1
is a member of the groups shown in the following table.
Which actions can User1 perform? To answer, select the appropriate options in the answer area.
I don’t see why IPAM users should be able to create DHCP scopes.
Refering to
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj878342(v=ws.11).aspx#server
which states:
IPAM Users
IPAM Users is a local security group on an IPAM server that is created when you install the IPAM feature. Members of this group can view all information in server inventory, IP address space, and the monitor and manage IPAM console nodes. IPAM Users can view IPAM and DHCP operational events under in the Event Catalog node, but cannot view IP address tracking data.
I was thinking the same thing…..
The IPAM server will communicate with managed servers using an RPC or WMI interface. IPAM monitors domain controllers and NPS servers for IP address tracking purposes. In addition to monitoring functions, several DHCP server and scope properties can be configured from the IPAM console. Zone status monitoring and a limited set of configuration functions are also available for DNS servers. See the following figure.
